July 31, 2020, Email Regarding School Reopening

A Message from Mr. Arcurio

I would like to thank everyone who was able to attend last night’s board of education meeting. The thoughtful questions and comments were much appreciated. As I explained last night, I have attached the slide presentation and a summary document to this communication. Please use this information to begin making your decision about which option you will choose for your child.

Additionally, I will put together a Q&A document and share it by Monday afternoon (August 3) with answers to questions raised at the board meeting or sent to me via email. If you have any questions after reviewing the attached documents, please email them so I can include them in the Q&A.

On Monday afternoon, along with the Q&A document, I will send a Google form so that families can commit to an option by August 10, 2020.

As always, thank you for your support as we continue to focus on safely educating the children of Lebanon Borough.

Better Together,

Bruce Arcurio
Superintendent

YMCA Before/After Care

As noted in the slide presentation, the YMCA is offering onsite before and aftercare. Aftercare will begin when the in-person school day ends at 12:45 p.m. If you have an interest in this, you can review and register for the various options available at the Hunterdon County YMCA Registration page.

Safety Practice

Please remember that practicing wearing a mask, handwashing, hand sanitizing, social distancing, and other safety measures should begin before the start of school. We will, of course, work on these things at the beginning of school; however, it will be a much easier transition if you do this in the weeks prior to opening. We will be sending home helpful videos over the next weeks to support some of the major safety expectations that will be part of the fabric of our school day.
